Age 89 of NE Minneapolis, passed away February 14, 2015 with his family at his side. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Helen and his son, William Billy Kelley. He will be deeply missed by his family - Constance Kelley and Claude Everett - Faith and Arlan Rolfsen, their sons, Jonathan Rolfsen, and James and Patience Rolfsen (and sons, Ethan and JJ) - Ingred and Tom Lee, their daughters, Danielle and Rob Bleymeyer (and sons, Connor, Reed, Zander), and Jessica and Andrew McPhail (and daughter, Piper) - Helen and Jim Johnson, their daughter, Else Johnson and Alberto Super (and children Cassidy and Trey) - International daughters Geli Sinn and Marthe Omreng; siblings, Bruce (Irma) Kelley, Joan (Dick) Merritt, and Ingred (Jim) Bierman; and many, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Bill will be remembered as an honorable, generous, independent man committed to God, country, community, and his family. He was a graduate of Wayzata High School and Yale University. He served as an Officer in the US Marine Corp. He was employed by General Electric for many years and later was a pioneer in computer consulting in Minneapolis. The Kelleys made North Como Presbyterian Church in Roseville their church home where they were very active. With his wife Helen, he was a longtime supporter of Minnesota Quilters and North Como Quilters. Bill enjoyed participating in the Northstar Storytelling Guild in Minnesota and had been active in Toastmasters. He enjoyed serving others and delivered Meals On Wheels until three weeks before his death. A memorial service to celebrate Bills life will be held 11 AM, Friday, February 27th at New Life Presbyterian Church (formerly North Como Presbyterian Church), 965 Larpenteur Ave. W., Roseville, MN, with a gathering one hour before and a luncheon following the service. Family interment will be held Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later time. Memorials preferred to donors choice to honor your memories of Bill.
