July 24, 1991 ~ May 8, 2026

Age 34 of Minneapolis, MN.

Loving Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Niece & Aunt, passed away unexpectedly but surrounded by family on May 8, 2026. She was born July 24, 1991, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordan, GA to Kimberly (Leavitt) and Mark Thompson. She was preceded in death by her father, Chaplain Mark W. Thompson; grandfather, Leonard Thompson; aunt, Debra Kucera (Thompson); uncle, Robert Thompson. She is survived by her mother, Kimberly Marshall and stepfather, Jim Marshall; sisters, Kaitlin and Evangeline Thompson; brother, Joseph Marshall; grandmother, Phyllis Thompson; grandparents, Michael and Charlene Leavitt; stepmother, Clarissa Thompson; and numerous step siblings, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Tori was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she majored in English & Russian Studies. She was a voracious reader and loved all literature. She returned to the University of Minnesota and received her Master of Social Work degree. Tori worked as a social worker; a career that she chose so she could serve the people who needed it most. She was an advocate for women, the elderly & handicapped, and anyone needing help. She was very creative and artistic. You would often find Tori doing embroidery, knitting, and crocheting. She loved handmade gifts and would make items for everyone she knew. Travelling brought her joy, some of her favorite places to visit were Russia, Scotland & Ireland. Above all, Tori loved her cats, Alice, Bernie and Pearl; they were like her children.
Tori had a kind nature and impacted people’s lives in so many ways. We will be having a Celebration of Tori’s Life from 1-4 PM Saturday, May 30th with an informal service at 2 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. The family would like to invite you to come and spend time sharing memories and ways Tori touched your life. Memorials preferred to a local humane society.
