Age 90, Lifelong Forest Lake Resident. Loving Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016. Survived by children, Todd (Kit), Tara (David) Schultz, Heather (Darin) Heller,Amy Burks, James; grandchildren, Taylor, Daniel, Savannah Jeans; Trip Michael Schultz; Nicholas Rachel Heller; brothers, Bill (Marguerite), Mickey; special friend, Sharon Palas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by sister, Lorna Hammes. Ty was a WWII veteran and a Forest Lake resident and business man who was a key player in Jeans Implement, Jeans Incorporated, Der Lach Haus, Forest Hills Golf Course, and Ty Jeans Real Estate Co. He was a supporter of the Forest Lake community in various ways including serving on the Forest Lake Development Corporation Committee and the Forest Lake School Board. He loved baseball, golf and was a good bowler with a 190 average. He will be missed by many. Visitation 1 PM, Funeral service 3 PM Saturday, February 13th at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Drive, Forest Lake. Interment with military honors, Withrow Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Forest Lake Dugout Club, which will be used for Schumacher Field improvements.

  1. Todd,Tara,Kim,Amy,Jimmy, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Your dad was always so nice and polite when ever i seen him. He will be missed by many.

  2. Ty, seeing the picture of you in the baseball cap brings back many memories of going to the twins with you in ” the old Met” which we thought was out in the country back in 1965.   7. Memories indeed! My first memories coming to mind of Ty was his acting in the Junior or Senior Class play “The Sunshine Twins”. The year I can’t nail down, but it may have been ’45 or ’46. F.L. old timers are and have been most precious !
