Shirley J. Anderson

Shirley J. Anderson passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018. She was our hero, and even though her last years were challenging, her never ending smile shown through to all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by husband, Lyle; parents, Wesley & Tootie Harrer; sister, Jean Berka. Survived by daughters, Christine (Arthur Saftlas) Anderson, Susan Anderson; son, David (Julie) Anderson; grandchildren Shane, Zachary (Samantha Courneya); great-grandchildren, Tegan & Brooklynn; sister, Sharon Makela, many nieces & nephews.
Visitation 2-5 PM Sunday, April 22nd at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, April 23rd, with visitation one hour prior at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Dr., Forest Lake. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. A special thank you to friends & caregivers at Gracewood Senior Living-Lino Lakes.

Shirley was a lovely pleasant lady. I have known Shirley since I was a young teenager. I have been part of the Anderson family for many years. She always had a smile for me when I came over to help her with exercises. She was so proud of her children, grand children and great grandchildren .I will always have fond memories of our time together and with the whole Anderson family. She will be missed by all.
I have fond memories of Shirley and Lyle (he was my baseball coach) and how they were always up front at Faith because of his hearing. She would have her ready smile and welcome whenever I came home from college and later as a pastor visiting family in the area.
