August 14, 1947 ~ March 22, 2013
Russell Allan Matlack, age 65 of Chisago City died on March 22, 2013. Russ is preceded in death by father, Robert Matlack. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Darlene Matlack; children, Barry (Michele) Matlack, Tom Matlack, Heidi (Jay) Silva, Cinthia Sisson, David Winberg, and Daniel (Annette) Winberg; 15 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; mother, Phyllis Matlack; sisters and brothers, Cheryl Gunderson, Janelle (Keith) Thompson, Lynette (Rick) Kroening, Howard (Kristine) Matlack, Rick (Sue) Matlack, Brad (Mary) Matlack; nieces, nephews and many friends. A funeral service to honor Russs life will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, March 26th at Forest Lake Christian Church, 420 W. Broadway, Forest Lake with a visitation beginning at 12 noon. Interment Scandinavian Cemetery.
My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Russell Matlack. May you find comfort in your happy memories and in remembering the fine qualities you recall of Mr. Matlack. Please know that God promises to be, “near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34; 18) Our loving Creator has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25; 8) Please look forward to the joy of again seeing Russell Matlack in perfect health in Paradise conditions which was initially promised in regard to the Earth (Genesis 1:31). Faith in these promises will hopefully ease the pain of loss. Meanwhile we have the opportunity to follow Jesus’ instruction to continue to take in Bible knowledge that leads to everlasting life (John 17:3) and be further comforted by many beautiful promises.
