  1. What a great friend always so nice to me and my family
from working at Phillips 66 and his family also.
My prayers go out to the family for this great loss.

  2. On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Roger’s military service to our nation.

  3. Dear George, Maria, Linda and your families.

Sandy and I are so sorry we are not going to be able to come to Minnesota for the service. We want to tell you how sorry we are for your loss. Your Dad and my brother was a wonderful, kind man. He was an important part of the Haas family. We will surely miss him. He always called us on our birthdays and when there was a hurricane in Florida to make sure we were alright. We will really miss that.
Our love and prayers are with you,
    Uncle Jim
PS. I tried to post a photo but you will need to click on it to enlarge it.

  4. The things I saw in my dad, don’t cost money.
Faith in God, love for family and friends, appreciation for life, contentment, a good work ethic, honesty and a sense of humor.
Selfishly, I will miss him! However I believe that he’s in the presence of God for eternity. I can be content with that.

  5. Through many conversations over the years Roger has gifted us with many fun stories of his life. It was very clear to see what a positive man he was and unconditional love of his family and wife Carla.Though our interactions were brief the impact he has made in our lives will last forever. He truly believed his path in life happened for a reason. We are so grateful our friend Rogers path crossed ours.

  6. Those of us who as young people worked for Roger at Setterholm’s Supermarket have lost a great friend. He was so tolerant of us young kids being kids, like pulling fun but harmless pranks, as long as we got the job done first. Whatever is commendable in our work ethics today, we owe a great deal of it to Roger’s example back then.

  7. Roger was always kind and gracious to me. I can’t remember a time where he wasn’t happy to see me and my family. I especially remember his love and dedication toward our children. To never utter a harsh or judgmental word is a difficult task in life, but Roger accomplished it with gracious ease. Although I will miss him, I know the strength of his faith and I rest in the fact that he will be forever in God’s loving presence.
