Robert Peter Ericson

Age 89 of Wyoming, MN, formerly of Shorewood, IL and originally from Duluth, MN passed away March 2, 2011. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Nanny. Survived by wife, Virginia (Humphreys) Ericson; son, Scott (Karen) Ericson; daughter, Sandy (Dennis) Bottjen; grandchildren, April (Paul) Fosen, Scott Ericson, Jr., Jason Ericson, Daniel Bottjen, Sarah Bottjen, Philip Bottjen and Abigail Bottjen; great grandchildren, Robbie, Ethan, Cassidy, Sophia and Ella Fosen; brother, Grant (Faye) Ericson; cousin, Donald (Phyllis) Holm; other relatives and friends. A celebration of Bobs life will be held on Bob and Virginias 62nd Wedding Anniversary, Friday, June 10th at 10:30 AM in Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment with military honors, Forest Hill Cemetery, Duluth, MN.

I am sorry that this is so late, but I just saw it. I was a neighbor and friend to the Erickson family in Duluth. Mr. Erickson was a wonderful person. I have some great memories of all of you. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Bob was my godfather (Virgina my godmother)and although I haven’t seen him much over the years, I thought of him often and was updated on phone conversations and visits through my parents, Lyle & Shirley Anderson. I still have the expertly carved wood salt and pepper shakers and knife holder sitting on my kitchen counter that he made me years ago….just one of his many hobbies I’m sure! Bob stood up at my mom and dad’s wedding almost 60 years ago, and continued to be a very special friend in their lives…..one who was always joking around and had a zest for making people smile and laugh. To Virgina and family, we wish you happy memories to see you through your loss.
