Violet & family, Richard & Raymond family,
I have so many happy memories of all the Grendahl’s as Pauline’s oldest sister the whole Grendahl family was with us often. So much fun for us on the farm. We have gratitude for the memories. Blessings to all as you grieve your loss. Love you all, Carol (Streiff) Franks (Pauline’s oldest)
I only have very young memories, have forgotten faces but do remember kindness. Sorry to hear of your loss as Pauline Streiff (mom) shared with me this morning. She had many fond memories and talked for quite some time. May our prayers be with you; thank you for Bob now looking over us all in God’s loving hands. Kathryn (Streiff) Longfellow in Alaska
I was always looking for Pastor Bob on his morning walk. We were on our way to the Coffee Depot. There was always a wave and a smile and sometimes we were at a spot where we could stop and chat for a while. I have missed him this past year, but Vi I called you to see where he was and he just couldn’t make that walk anymore. Pastor Russ and I enjoyed him. Now the two Pastors can have some good chats. May the Lord be with you and your family. Gladys Peterson
Vi and family, Our hearts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Pastor Bob was special. My dad Ken Johnson loved him as a friend and pastor. Your family was always so good to all of us. You couldn’t help but laugh with Pastor Bob. He had a wonderful laugh. He had such a great outlook on life. He will be sadly missed. We are sorry about your loss. Our family will keep you all in our prayers.
Before I retired from Cub, Bob and his wife would come in shopping every Thursday. I worked in the bulk foods on those days and he always had to stop and say Hello and tease about something each week. I am so sorry to hear about your loss and my prayers are with all the family
We knew Pastor Grendahl when he served as an interim pastor at our congregation (Holy Trinity, St. Paul). During a difficult and emotional time he was calm, supportive, caring, and soothing. His smiles and intuitive remarks are things that we still hold close to us as we look back on that time in our lives. We are so sorry for your loss and hold all of you in our prayers.
Vi, Pastor Bob has been a part of our hearts since Brenda first knocked on your door. His loving tribute to her at a time when our family was overwhelmed with grief has forever been a bouquet of “daisies”. Having Pastor Bob speak so eloquently at Russ’s memorial when he was struggling physically meant more than anyone could know. We smile very time we think of him. All our love and prayers to your family!
Dear Vi and family:: Del and I are deeply sorry to hear of Pastor Bob’s passing. HE is in Heaven and arrived with my mother, who’s funeral is also Monday, in Almelund tho. WE are so sorry that we can not attend Bob’s service. Peace be to his wonderful memory
Bob always had a wonderful garden in his back yard. My wife Jan and I would always be confident in his answer to a question about plants and trees. He was a neighbor that was willing to help us out with almost anything. He removed snow from our driveway several times, never having to be asked. We will miss our wonderful neighbor.
