Age 87 of North Branch, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 17, 2015. Preceded in death by wife, Ruth; stepdaughter, Wanda Fitzwater; siblings, Lavina McDanield, Katherine Wilson, William. Survived by children, Robert (Aileen), Bonnie (Doug) Peterson, Brett (Shelley), Brenda Galatovich-Schmidt, Betsy Magallenas; step-children, Will (Irene) Moyer, Wendie (David) Schuster; 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren. Visitation 5-8PM Monday October 26th at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Dr., Forest Lake. A Celebration of Bobs Life will be 11 AM Tuesday October 27th at the funeral home with a visitation beginning at 10AM. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Bob’s military service to our nation and to veterans as an American Legion member.
Bob was a customer at my barbershop in Northbranch. He was a wonderful man and a great friend. He often talked about his love for his wife Ruth. My condolences to the family.
