Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Years ago, when in Northern MN, we stopped to visit Gwen and Bob. We rememher how Bob had such a good way, entertaining our chldren. He was so friendly. With never a Jaeger family reunion, we were never together much. But the few times that we were, we enjoyed knowing Bob. .

  2. My father, Don Hanson, and Bob were cousins and had a very close relationship until my father died 21/2 years ago. They were much alike – they were both scandinavian so knew every Lena and Ole Joke there ever was, and use to stay at their grandparents farm in the summer and were full of mischief there, throwing the watermelons and just eating the heart out of it, the best part .In the middle of the night they were too lazy to go to the outhouse so just use to you- know -what right out of the window screens. For being so naughty at times when kids they both grew up to be fabulous adults- kind-hearted , well-liked businessmen who spread alot of joy to other people. Here’s tp my father and Uncle Bob for being just the best!!!

  3. While I was away from home in the Army (1980’s), Bob would send me an occasional letter with clippings from the Forest Lake Times. He was a good man. He will be missed.

  4. Bob was such a kind man. I have many fond memories growing up with the Johnsons, Ruggles and Fladlands as our parents were such good friends. He is a perfect addition to heaven, God bless the family!

  5. When I was a young girl, my friends and I would walk uptown to the beach, I suppose we were in 3th and 4th grade. The highlight was looking at the fish in the Sporting Goods Store. Boy,there were some awsome fish in there, really Big fish! Sometimes Mr. Johnson would come out to say hi. Mr. Johnson is one of the many reasons I feel so fortunate to have grown up in Forest Lake! I only wish the kids today could have grown up with ‘Mr. Johnson. Thank you Bob.

  6. To be able to have an uncle like Uncle Bob means you have been truly blessed! Thank you for showing us through all your actions and words how to be the best we could be and for encouraging us every step of the way. Love and hugs to Aunt Gwen, Dick, Deb, Jan and families.

  7. Uncle Bob has always been there through all of life’s moments and memories for our entire family – always sincere, caring and welcoming, an exceptional gentleman and gentle man. Im honored to have known him and will miss his Ole and Lena jokes and how they brought smiles to us all.

  8. My fondest memories of Bob occurred many years ago when Bob asked me to work on the local Ducks Unlimited Committee. It was a pashion of Bob’s and bcame a pashion of mine. This is a tribute to Bob since I don’t even hunt ducks. Bob will be truly missed.

  9. On behalf of Forest Lake American Legion Post 225 we give thanks for Bob’s military service to our nation and as a Legion member.

  10. Most fabulous Uncle on the planet.

The list of memories will be too long and not long enough. The joy remembered will be forever.

Thank you Uncle Bob for being you and shinning a bright light on the path of life.
