To the Holman Family,
My family (The Laakso’s) lived next to Thelma and William back in the early 50’s on Washburn Avenue in Richfield. I grew up best friends with Linda and “Billy” was the little devil that sprayed my mom with the garden hose. I remember Patsy as I was growing up. She was a very beautiful person. And, so mysterious with all her travels.
I would like very much to get in touch with Linda again. If anyone from the Holman Family reads this, please give Linda my email. (I was “little Linda” (I wish I was now :)) and Linda Holman was “big Linda” — I think we were a couple years apart in age.
My sympathies and love go out to your family.
Sincerely,
Linda Maher

Dear Donna, I met you quite a few years back when your Mom volunteered at Northwoods Humane Society. I am stunned that she is gone. She is certainly a memorable Lady. I always remembered he and the red hat club, and all her travels helping (I am trying to recall) I believe it was the orphanage? I know she will be dearly missed by all who met her. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Brenda Zelinka
Dear Donna, Gary & Family,
We want you to know how much we loved your mom. She always reguiled us with stories about her great adventures traveling the world. We heard all about the comings and goings of her family and felt we knew you all. We know how much you are hurting and wish there were words to relieve your pain. Please know our prayers are with you.
Dear Donna, Gary and family,
I only knew your mom for a few years and I loved her sense of humor. I will remember her for that. She was also a great neighbor.
May our Dear Lord give you Peace and Comfort today and all the days to come. She is resting in Peace with the Lord, and has no more pain.
Blessings,
Mary Ann Hueckel
Donna & Gary,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you this day. We miss her already. She was very special in many ways and brought dad much joy in his life.
Dear Family
I am so saddened by the loss of Pat. She was a wonderful vivacious person who truly enjoyed life. I was privileged to know her and she will be sorely missed.
Patsy was my very dear friend from the time we became reaquainted We happen to drop into her shop in Hot Springs
because we saw some “trolls” in the window as we drove by on the main street of town. We just knew it had to be her store from what she and Al had told us. After Al had passed away she and her cousins, Bonnyne and Phyllis spent a week as the “golden girls construction team”working on our log home in Montana. She
always was enthusiatic about life and brought her sense of humor
with her in every thing she did. I have shared many happy days with her and she will always be in my heart. I know how much she will be missed by her family.
Donna & Family,
We have all enjoyed your mom’s kindness to our family. When we visited her in Florida, she was our tour guide — from the little patio off her apt (sipping on fruit smoothies) to showing us the beautiful church, taking us to the best shell stores, and enjoying hours at the beach with a picnic lunch she made for all of us (and birds trying to swoop down and grab food right out of our hands). It was a great time that we will cherish. Your mom will be missed. Thank you for making her part of our lives!
Donna and Family,
Although I only new Pat for a brief season of my life. I wish I had told her how much our exercises in the pool, her sense of humor , love and determination inspired me .She had me over for Thanksgiving last year, as I had no family in Fl. She fixed Jello, and we laughed about that. I had never had Jello @ Thanksgiving. Only when I had my tonsils out 🙂 Good memories can never be erased. Enjoyed meeting you to Donna.
I am so saddened by the loss of this lovely, vivacious, caring, lady. She brightened my days at the pool and Tuesday evening card games and the movies on Tuesday afternoons. Her love of family and animals and anyone who needed a helping hand. She was so much fun and always smiling. I will remember her always.
