Nawaporn “Kay” Sunyavivat Pearson
January 26, 1970 ~ August 20, 2026
Age 56 of Forest Lake. Loving Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister and Friend to all, Kay passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 20th, 2026 after a long battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Sunya Sunyavivat and survived by loving husband of 16 years, Scott Pearson; mother, Doungchan Sunyavivat; children, Angelina Dimitrov and Vincent Dimitrov; siblings, Nawarut Sunyavivat, Nawareak Sunyavivat and Chai Sunyavivat; in-laws, Bill Pearson and Carol Pearson; sister-in-law, Beth Pearson; nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Kay immigrated from Thailand to the United States in 1992 when she was 22 years old. She first resided in Mississippi, where she studied at Mississippi State University, earning two Bachelor’s Degrees in English and Interior Design. In 1996, Kay moved to Minnesota, where she would go on to have her two children, and embark on an eclectic career ranging from owning her own daycare to several management positions. Among all of her jobs, she truly enjoyed each one she held because she loved people, all people, and made a difference in the lives of everyone she met.
Above all else, Kay’s proudest achievement was her family. She was the most loving mother to her children, Angie and Vince, and a supportive and caring wife to her husband, Scott. She filled her home with warmth, humor, delicious food, and immeasurable love. Kay nurtured everyone around her; she sweetened victories and softened defeats, and inspired joy in everyone she met. While she was truly beautiful by society’s standards, that beauty was outshone with every interaction that she had with others and the light she emitted with an ever-present smile.

It was an absolute joy and pleasure to have known you. Thank you for raising such amazing children, one of whom is one of our best friend. We love that you had nicknames for your “extra kids”, aka Vince’s friends. You will always be one of the sweetest, kindest, and most supportive people we’ve known. I only got a chance to know you through your sister Lek.” She has been a beautiful person to have as part of our bible study group. She had such wonderful things to say about you and your family. Lek loved you deeply… that special love that sisters have for one another. She will miss you so very much.
May you be resting in the arms of Jesus now, knowing that He loves you unconditionally and eternally!
