Age 90 of Charlottesville, VA, formerly of Forest Lake Minneapolis. Passed away on September 28, 2017. Preceded in death by son, Wallace Skip Schmidt; 6 of her siblings. Survived by daughters, Colleen Schmidt Olson Page, Diane Finnemann, Jacqueline Krismer, Shannon Monahan; son-in-laws, Mark Finnemann, William Krismer, David Monahan; grandchildren, Michelle Olson, Grant Olson, Thomas (Aaron) Deris, Jody (Scott) Bloom, Joseph (Maxine) Van Bergen, Nicole Finnemann (Ben Callam), James (Jaime) Reinke, Jennifer (Kyle) Reinke Bennett, Jennifer (Shane) Krismer Leininger, Jill Krismer, Morgan Monahan, Corrine (Troy) Monahan Lettau, Laura (Brett) Monahan Kohler; 21 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Monicas Life 4PM Saturday, November 18th with visitation one hour prior at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, Forest Lake. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered Come toMe. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Monica was a force and a lovely person. Deepest sympathies to the family. She will be missed, and was an extraordinary chinese checkers player! Dr Mary Swenson
