Date of Birth: February 2, 1916 Date of Death: February 7, 2011 Milton was born February 2, 1916 in Cokato, Minnesota, the son of Carl and Hilda (Tiller) Russell. He was united in marriage to Ruth Edwards. Milton worked with the Great Northern Railroad until his retirement. Milton enjoyed living on a hobby farm in Scandia, MN where he and Ruth raised his family. He enjoyed fishing. Milton passed away Feb. 7, 2011 at his home at the age of 95 years. He is preceded in death by wife, Ruth Edwards Russell in 1999; son, Robert Russell; brothers, Gordon Russell and Warren Russell; and great granddaughters, Isabella Spencer and Caitlin Spencer. Milton is survived by his son, Dale; twin daughters, Elaine (Robert) Hammond and Eileen (Allen) Tuominen; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Arlene) Russell; cousins, other relatives and friends. Memorial Service and Gathering Of Family and Friends A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Sat. Feb. 19th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 12 Noon. Interment Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
We will miss you Grandpa, you had pretty spring flowers that bloomed in your garden. You loved to feed the birds. You loved home cooked meals and wearing bibed overalls and your dog, suzie. We never expected that you would be gone so soon. We hope to see you again, real soon.
