Age 60 of Forest Lake. Loving Husband, Dad, Brother & Friend, passed away at home surrounded by family & friends on September 29, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Richard & Arline. Survived by wife of 32 years, Julie; sons, Ryan, Nathan, Dylan; step-mother, Vi; sister, Sharon Jaros; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. He was a devoted husband, father, friend and neighbor. He was always there to lend a hand whenever anyone needed something. His presence will be greatly missed by many but his legacy of love and kindness will live on through his family and friends. Mike was born and raised in South St Paul a true Packer athlete. He enjoyed playing football in High School and was a wrestler as well. He continued to play football while attending Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN. After college he took on the family legacy and worked at the Ford Plant in St Paul following in the footsteps of his father and uncle. He worked at Ford for 30 years, and then finished his working career at Graybar Electric. He was always a devoted, motivated and hardworking person and enjoyed his time there and the people he worked with. In 1986 he married the love of his life, Julie and they settled in Forest Lake, MN. They were blessed with three wonderful boys, Ryan, Nathan and Dylan. He truly enjoyed living in Forest Lake and being a Minnesota sports home team fan, watching the MN Vikings and Gophers play and becoming a Forest Lake Ranger fan while watching his children in sports. He was always surrounded with wonderful family, friends, community and neighbors. Mike loved being outside enjoying nature, hunting and fishing with his sons and lifelong friends, and all the wildlife in his backyard and his many beloved pets. He found joy in supporting whatever his boys were doing through the years whether it was collecting frogs, playing sports, gardening, music, fishing, and hunting. He was always happiest with his wife by his side. He was truly a devoted and loving husband and father. He also enjoyed spending time at the “Hinckley Hilton” and his cabin in Stone Lake, WI. The time spent at these places with his favorite people were precious to him throughout his life, even during his cancer diagnosis and treatment and felt at peace there. Mike was a happy, kind, generous, romantic and caring man who always saw the good in everyone and put others needs before his own. He was a devoted husband, father, friend and neighbor. He was always there to lend a hand whenever anyone needed something. His presence will be greatly missed by many but his legacy of love and kindness will live on through his family and friends. 1. It was always a blast going to the Corcoran’s house with Dylan and some friends for a party when I was a kid. Mike and Julie made it a 1000 times better by getting any snack, pop/drinks, food we wanted. Letting us stay up late and be loud while they were trying to sleep. They wanted us to have the best time and we did. Mike was easily one of the nicest men and person I knew! He was just a great guy in general. I’m so so sorry for your loss, it breaks my heart. You all are in my thoughts, we all will miss him dearly!! Love, Connor H ❤️

  2. Julie and boys, I am so sorry to learn of Mike’s passing. Working the basketball tournaments with you both over the years, Mike was so level-headed, kind, helpful and always had a smile to share. May his soul rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. ❤️ Darcy Overland and Family (Scott, Miranda & Jesseca)

  3. Julie and sons, We are so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I prayed so hard for a different outcome to his illness, but it was not to be. We are Mike’s Godparents and have always been very proud of the person he was, from childhood to the present. We remember his big smiles when greeting us, and of course his optimistic approach to life. We’ll miss his surprise stops at our cabin and his presence at the July 4th fire works at the cabin. Julie and the boys, you are always welcome to join us. Uncle Ken and Aunt Deb Corcoran

  4. Sharon , I am so sorry to hear of your brother Mike’s passing our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Nancy & Wayne Warnert
