  1. For a moment
    All the world was right
    How could I have known
    That you’d ever say goodbye

    And now
    I’m glad I didn’t know
The way it all would end
The way it all would go
    Our lives
    Are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I’d have had to miss
    The dance

~ Garth Brooks – The Dance

  2. Unseen. Unheard. But ALWAYS near~ It’s snowing in your beautiful mountains!

  3. Michael~ 1948–2015 Your life lived, the dash between those years. Your dash was cut way too short~

  4. This was to be a weekend of pride and honor for you! “You did not die. You simply set up home in our dreams” 92 days~

  5. Psalm 34:18. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those that are crushed in spirit.

  6. On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Mike’s military service to our nation.

  7. Andrea and Ryan, We’re so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. We haven’t seen him much in the last couple of years, but loved his kind heart and smile. We’re in Rome and won’t be able to attend the service, but will be praying for Mike and all of you at St. Peter’s Basilica. God Bless

  8. Mike was always an encourager and great Teacher on the ski Hill I learned much from Him at WM and will miss his genuine smiling face.

  9. Mike will be missed on the hill. he was always willing to help people out. he was always willing to answer questions and share ideas about skiing. every time i saw him he greeted me kindly. the hill won’t be the same without him, but he leaves a little of himself behind in the things he taught us.

  10. Mike was always ready to help us and encourage us in our skiing certifications at Wild Mountain. I always was happy to see him on the hill and ski a few runs with him. He will be missed immensely.

  11. Mike stopped to see me quite often for his job as sales rep for Bayer Built. He always had a smile for everyone and I always looked forward to seeing him. I am shocked by this news and offer my condolences to the entire family. May the Lord be with all of you and comfort you in this huge loss in your life.

  12. Mike has had many good people in his life. I know Wink and Dorthy are waiting with open arms. Several of his 1966 classmates will be waiting for him as well. Mike will remind them how to ski and how to put fun into each day.

  13. Being Andrea’s friend, and all of the 4th of July excursions at Michael’s residence in Forest Lake, I got the chance to know Michael. You cannot find a more patient, kind, giving man.

Good luck on your journey Michael.

  14. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Moen family. May you find comfort and hope in God’s promise of a resurrection we will have similar to that of Lazarus at John 11. He wants us to be able to see and enjoy the company of our loved ones again in a healthy condition (Isaiah 33:28) for countless generations of time. He promises a time very soon where no family will ever have to mourn the death of a loved ever again. Revelation 21:4. May God himself

  15. I’ve known Mike for many years through business as our Sales Rep from Bayerbuilt. I have “always” enjoyed seeing him and spending some time with him when he came to visit. He was one of the nicest, most helpful, cordial, caring, friendly, honest, reliable, and responsible person I have ever met. He was much more than a Sales Rep to me, he was a dear friend. I am in shock in his passing and will miss him very much. He will not be will not forget him, he will always be in my prayers. So saddened by this loss.

  16. I have never met a man as nice as Mike Moen. I am privileged in my life to meet such a great person to say the least. He will always be missed but never forgotten!

“God wanted to ski so he picked the best to teach him”

  17. Shocked and saddened by Mike’s passing; he was friends with anyone and everyone at Anytime fitness and would always greet you with “Hi, ______, how are you doing today?” He was genuinely interested in his fitness friends at Anytime. He will be missed!
