Merle W. Meyer
February 14, 1930 ~ December 13, 2011
Merle William Meyer, age 81 of Forest Lake and formerly of Moorhead, passed away December 13, 2011. Merle is a retiree of IBM where he worked for 36 years and is also a US Navy Veteran in the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Selma Meyer. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Darlene (Eidem); his three children, Barry (Debra) Meyer of Oakdale, Ross (Susan) Meyer of Eagan and Tammy (Rob) Collins of Forest Lake; five grandchildren, Britta Meyer, Thea Meyer, Shelby Collins, Erin Collins, and Cole Collins; his sister, Beverly (Jerry) Bjelde of Moorhead and other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Merles life will held 2 PM Monday, Dec. 19th at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9300 Scandia Trail North, Forest Lake with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 1 PM until time of the service. A family graveside service will be held at a later time at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in rural Moorhead.
So sorry Darlene to read of Merle’s passing. We mostly remember you from dancing at the Eagles in Fargo. What great times we had there. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Marvin & Jean Jacobsen Dilworth, Mn.
