Marie Schuh
Marie Schuh, age 93 of Forest Lake died on August 3, 2005. Marie was preceded in death by son Richard Schuh, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her son Bill (Jennifer)Schuh of Stacy, daughter Marlene (Gene) LaMotte of Pine City, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister Freida Bacigalupo of St. Paul; and nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at 7 PM, Monday, August 8th at Roberts-Eckert Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake. Visitation was held from 5-7 PM prior to the service.
On my birthday which is today, you always sent me a card with 5 dollars in it. I always knew you were thinking of me. It brings me to tears. I know you loved me, Jonny, and Brigitte so much.
Grandma was a hard and tough woman and a kind woman. She worked so hard and sacrificed so much to extract herself from poverty. It seemed like she was running from the great depression. I think she wanted to give me the discipline that I needed, but there’s only so much she could do as a grand parent in this case…. I’ll never forget when my mom and step dad moved us to Kansas City for 6 months or so and she came to visit us. I recalled her breaking out in tears at the door upon seeing us. I’m not sure I returned her love as much as I could have. I know Brigitte returned her love to the fullest extent. Grandma I wish I could thank your for trying to do what was right for me.
