Lloyd Allen Dietrich, age 71 of Forest Lake, passed away June 10, 2013 following a courageous fight with Parkinsons disease. Lloyd was proud to serve in the US Army and retired from the United States Post Office as a Mail Carrier. He is preceded in death by grandson, Jacob Allen Dietrich; parents, George and Dorothea Dietrich; sister, Marian Meirhaeghe; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Virginia Carter. Lloyd will be deeplly missed by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; children, Brian (Melissa) Dietrich, Kevin (Tanya) Dietrich, and Lisa (Josh) Phillips; grandchildren, Kyle Craig Dietrich, Megan Theone Dietrich, and Michael Allen Phillips; brothers, Dean (Lois) Dietrich and Richard (Hope) Dietrich; brothers-in-law, Walter (Carol) Carter, Dennis Carter, and Greg (Cindy) Carter; nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Friday, June 14th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake. Lloyds funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, June 15th at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 No. Shore Drive, Forest Lake with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. Family interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

  3. I had the privilege to work with Lloyd for many years. He taught me many things about being a good mail carrier and taking pride in your work. He was a very good and caring man. I’m proud to have known him.

  4. As postmaster of Forest Lake, I had the privilege to get to know a wonderful and devoted man whom I greatly admired and I could always depend on him. God bless his memory.
