Leslie "Les" Pottratz
February 1, 1955 ~ October 18, 2015
Age 60 of Forest Lake. Loving Father, Fiance, Brother, Uncle, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 18, 2015. Les loved all things water: swimming, fishing, scuba diving, etc... Preceded in death by parents, Bernhard Erma; children, Andrew, Lily; brother, Norman. Survived by son, Will; fiance, Mary Kinser; siblings, Carol Read, Rick; dog, Nina; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. There will be a private family memorial held at a later date. Memorials are preferred to the family.
First, it goes without saying how very much we will miss Les. His laughter, his kindness, his giving spirit and so much more. He was a friend to all and didn’t have a mean bone in his body.
We only got to know him for 11 short years when he started dating my sister, Mary. They were like two peas in a pod. They truly were in love and made each other very happy. It was a privilege to know him.
It’s hard to understand why he was taken from us so quickly, but find comfort in knowing he was a special part of our lives and family. We have many good memories of Les to help us with our grief and hold him safe within our hearts at this time of sadness. He was a treasure and a blessing! May he walk with the angels and know that Jesus is holding him in his arms.
