To the family and friends of Leander. I have been trying, since that day to find more information on him and had been unable to find his name. I want to let you know that I was one of the very first people on the scene as the crash had just happened. I pulled over and ran over to him. Obviously it was a very bad accident and all I could think to do was pray. There was a lot of confusion, the driver of the car was very distraught and his co-workers had also just arrived. I put my hand on his helmet and bent down and prayed as hard as I could for him. I prayed an Our Father and a Hail Mary while touching his helmet and asked Our Lord out loud to please be with him and his family and guide his soul to be with our Lord. I had my 10 year old in the car with me at the time and when I left the scene we prayed together for him. Every time I drive by that road for the rest of my life, I will think of him. May God Bless you and your family and provide comfort. I am truly sorry for your loss.
To the family and friends of Mr. Barfield. We don’t know each other personally, but I wanted to let you know that I am deeply sorry for your lost. It is a tragedy to lose a loved one in death. I know that he will be deeply missed. However, I would like to share something with you that might offer some comfort. The Bible mentions that not only will God help you through this situation, but it also helps us to appreciate that we will have the opportunity to see our lost loved ones again. Read Psalms 34:18 and also John 5:28,29. I hope these scriptures can provide a sense of comfort for you and your family. All of you in my prayers…
I met Lea with Nicole at the company Christmas party. He had a fantastic smile and a great sense of fun. I heard alot about him from Nicole before then and thought thought he was quite lively and gregarious. So sorry about your loss.
We will never forget Lea’s performance at our company Holiday party this past February. We hired a dueling piano company for entertainment…but Lea decided to grab the mic and serenade Nicole in front of everyone, singing “Baby…you…got what I need…” It was hilarious!
I still remember vividly when Nicole and Lea met, it was on Good Friday and us girls from work had a half day so we went out and that is when these two met and soon after fell in love. I was so happy for both of them as they seemed to be a perfect couple. What I remember most about Lea is that he always had a beautiful smile on his face, he made you want to smile too. I’m so sorry for your loss but it will be heavens gain to have a beautiful new angel to watch over his loved ones. RIP Lea
