Mom was the steady heartbeat of our family.  She was gentle, creative, faithful and endlessly devoted to those she loved.  She lived her life full of joy and selfless love.  She was a great cook whose many meals brought comfort to hundreds.  When not in the kitchen, she could be found reading a good book, sewing, gardening or hitting up thrift stores and garage sales with her grandkids. She loved playing games like Swoosh or Aggravation.   Mom also looked forward to camping trips with her family, as well as numerous home renovation projects.

True to her caretaking spirit, she enjoyed beekeeping and tending to their small flock of chickens.  She greeted each day with a peaceful cup of coffee.  Her patience and gentle spirit were evident in everything she nurtured.  Mom loved deeply and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will begin with a gathering at 12 noon, ceremony at 2 PM, and reception to follow on Sunday, December 14th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Kath,
I will miss your wonderful sense of humor. You always had a quick joke to tell us. Who will I consult with when it’s time to take the geraniums up from the basement in the spring? We always joked about how often you rearranged the furniture. I will miss having that cup of coffee with you. ❤️

  2. Kathy will always be remembered for her smiling faces and the pranks she liked to play. She taught me many parenting tips as we raised our kids together. Our prayers are with the family as they adjust to life with mom in heaven.

  3. I will always cherish Kathy’s hearty laughter and beautiful smile. When Kathy hugged you, you knew you were loved. I am so thankful that Kathy was surrounded by her family when she passed. They were taught how to love by the best. I am grateful her spirit is free of the troubles of this life, but the thought of never hearing her laugh or feeling one of her amazing hugs again brings tears to my eyes and fills my heart with sorrow. The Casiday family is in my prayers.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

Kathy embodies the spirit of love. She always has, and always will.

  4. Aunt Kathy…the memories of all you did with love for anyone who entered your home is beyond words. I can hear your voice saying, “Hey kiddo!” I can see your beautiful smile, hear your amazing laugh, smell your gorgeous flowers and sense that you are watching over all your family from Above! May everyone be comforted knowing you are in the highest and most peaceful place. Thank you for being you! Yvette

  5. Kathy was like an Aunt to me, I loved reading all the beautiful things you all wrote about her. I remember her always smiling, laughing and having bare feet. Even on the coldest of days. Mike and Kathy always made me feel like one of the family when ever I was with them. What a treasure she was to everyone that knew her! I will be praying for your family. That you will feel Gods love for you in these hard times.:He is near to the brokenhearted “

  6. Along with such pain in our hearts, we also have so many wonderful memories and hours of laughter with Kathy…and we were blessed with the honor of sharing grandkids and great grandkids ☆ What a legacy of love she leaves, but incredibly missed by so many. It’s hard to imagine life without her. “Well done good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21
