John George Stubler

September 23, 1968 ~ August 4, 2026

John George Stubler, age 57, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2026.

Born and raised in Forest Lake, Minnesota, John spent most of his life in the community he proudly called home. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1987, where he was a member of the Forest Lake Rangers football team. He continued his education and football career at the University of Wisconsin–Stout, playing for the Blue Devils.

John was a truly kind, gentle, and sentimental man with a heart of gold. He was known for his quiet compassion, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He dedicated much of his life to caring for his parents, a reflection of his selfless nature and deep love for his family.

When he found time for himself, John enjoyed being outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and found peace in nature. Whether spending time on the water or in the woods, he appreciated the simple pleasures of life and the memories made with family and friends.

John will be remembered most for his loving heart, his gentle soul, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, humility, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten.

John was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack” Stubler.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Darlene Stubler; his sister, Pamela (Dan) Stubler-Festa; his niece, Madeline; his nephew, Nicholas; as well as many other relatives and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, with a visitation beginning at 12 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that John’s gentle spirit, generous heart, and enduring love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
