Guestbook

  1. I met Joan for the first time at her daughter’s wedding 2 years ago. I was bidding her mother good bye, and the first words out of her mouth was “Who are you?” I had to explain that her niece Danette married my first cousin Randy. I also sent email messages to her sister Donna among other items. Her next response was, “You’re the one that sends all those wonderful messages!” I am happy that I was able to bring a little joy into her life. She has given me a great story to tell. You will be missed, Joan.

  2. I never knew Joan personally. We were facebook friends. I was a friend of Clay and many other people back when we were young, stupid, and naive. Clay and all those people have impacted my life in many wonderful ways. She befriended me because Clay remembered me. She would like a “post” I would send and I would “like” a post she would send. Even though I never knew her personally, I can tell you my perception.. Joan is the epitome of womanhood. Person, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. I think she had so much kindness and strength. NONE of us do things right all the time and I am sure she has those wounds like we all do. Nonetheless, my perception is she learned, loved, received love and gave it. God Bless All of you as you travel this path.

  3. I was in Joan’s TAG group at church with her until I got a job that conflicted with the time. She was soooo quiet at the very beginning. I remember that she seemed to be getting a little more talkative by the time I had to leave. She really had GREAT things to share and I really liked being there when Joan would share. She was such a sensitive person and she cared about everyone. Her strength amazed me and I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face; and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace!” Joan turned her eyes upon Jesus – and she has now taken her rightful place in Heaven with our Lord and Savior!!! I agree with Pastor Patty… We have ALL been blessed to call her sister and friend!

  4. Joan fought a good fight and remained faithful to the end….I feel blessed to call her my sister and friend.
