James H. Smith

Age 77 of Centerville. Passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2020. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon; eldest son, Jamie; parents, Jay “Bud” & Estelle; brothers, Robert & Richard; brother-in-law, Terry Baumann; friend, Chuck Smith. Survived by wife, Wendy; sons, Jay (Becky), E.J. (Pauline); grandsons, Andrew, Joshua, Gaeten, Bohdin; sister, Donna Bauman; sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Mary Ann (Fred) Hansen, Sandy Ruhlow; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Jim loved fiddling in the garage fixing things, creating new culinary delights, cane fishing off the dock, fail videos, and chatting with all. He will be remembered for his endless supply of “dad jokes”, love of Perkins pancakes with ham-lots-o-cheese omelets, and repurposing and collecting of old household items. Interment at St. Genevieve Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial service will take place at a later date to be determined.
