  1. George was a friend of our family I always looked forward to talking with him. He once told me, “if you cant make it in to see me, just send a check”. RIP George

  2. Working at the Blacksmith was so much fun and I have so many memories from my years there! Those Christmas parties were so fun! I remember driving George home one night and he gave me $100….I couldn’t believe it and then the nice words he said to me as his employee! He never yelled at us and he probably could have at times. George was the best boss!! The food is still amazing and I still go back to enjoy it.

  6. We have been friends since 1974. Worked for George at the Badger Lounge. He was a great boss. I was there at the Blacksmith the very first day. He ran a great business. Good food family friendly place to go. Car shows and auctions, were a place to meet and spend a Saturday or Sunday and George was always there. I will miss you. I was happy I got to talk to you while you were in the Hospital, I just didn’t know it would be the last time. Until we meet again.

  7. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss… Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

  8. Dear George, You will always be a huge part of my favorite memories. From our dating days back in the 80’s going out to a different place for lunch every Friday, going to friends bars and buying rounds for everyone in the bar(and if it wasn’t enough, buying another round). The bartenders knew when we came in they were going to be busy! To our lifelong friendship of catching up or reaching out on each other’s birthdays. Rest in eternal peace my dear friend and I will look you up when I get to heaven as I know you will be there. Love you always, Polly.

  9. With Deepest Sympathy From Our Family. Patrick Fahey, Shannon DeVinny, Sean & Darla Fahey, Lauren & Austin Lyons & Kids , Nick & Hannah DeVinny.

  10. We are thinking of you during this difficult time. Sending love and prayers to Karen and all of his family.
