Loving Mom, Grandma, Great grandma Sister. Age 93 of Scandia, formerly of Cannon Falls, found peace and the assurance of heaven early Friday morning, November 13, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born to Ernest Isenberg and Ruth Berg on March 28, 1922 in Sibley County, MN. On January 1, 1942, she married the love of her life, Cornelius Jacobson, with whom she owned the Delano Bakery for over 30 years. In addition to an affinity for baking and cooking, Genevieve was a skilled and prolific needle worker. She had a passion for music, scrapbooking and photo albums, and was devout in her attentions to her family. Genevieves love of music extended into the church by way of piano, organ, and song. Her heartfelt belief of the Bible lead her to seed a church in 1962 and actively serve the Lord all her life. Her profound relationship with Christ was epitomized by her everyday actions, her involvement in church activities, and her engagement with outreach ministries. Genevieve was survived in death by her sister, Shirley (Charles) Supplee; her children, Dale (Sue) Jacobson, Diane (John) Sonsteng, Lila (Walt) Jevremov; her 9 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. I have fond memories of Aunt Genevieve and Uncle Kerney. She ;made ;the most beautiful wedding cakes and the little cakes with the doll in the center and the skirt was the cake. Most of all she was so kind to our mother when our dad passed away and along with Aunt Shirley they all became wonderful friends. We will miss you. We are praying for you – Dale, Diane and Lila.
