Evangeline "Vangie" Norma Rivard

Age 91 of East Bethel, MN. Loving Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma & Great-Great-Grandma. Passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026.

Evangeline was born on March 12, 1935 in Benson, MN. She lived on the farm until the age of 12 when they moved to Minneapolis. She graduated from Vocational High School in Minneapolis where she received her beauticians license and met the love of her life Ronald Rivard and married October 24, 1953. They had 5 daughters. She loved to play cards and sometimes go to the casino. The last several years she had a new passion for diamond art. Vangie was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

Preceded in death by husband, Ronald; daughter, Paula Dean; sisters, Sally Wanberg, Margie Chapman; brothers, Minor Haugen, Myron Haugen; son-in-laws, Russel Rosenberger, Kevin Freeman; parents, Melvin & Minnie Haugen. Survived by daughters, Patricia Rosenberger, Pamela Freeman, Jodi Wagner, Jackie (Jim) Mayer; son-in-law, Larry Dean; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren. She lived with Jim & Jackie for 29 years, so she was never alone.

Vangie’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11 AM Friday, June 26^th with a visitation beginning at 10 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis.
