Duane C. Mansk
April 16, 1930 ~ October 5, 2015
Age 85 formerly of Minnetrista Marcell. Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on October 5, 2015. Duane was a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan, bee keeper, animal lover, gardener, employee of Northland Aluminum, and an electrician with a unique sense of humor. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Warren, Arlene Hankey, Audrey Jahnke, Kenneth. Survived by wife of almost 64 years, Joan; children, Kimberly (Douglas) Rau, Ted (Debbie), Stuart (Carrie); grandchildren, Benjamin, Anna, Jonathan, Heather, Ashley, Tiffany, Andrew, Peter; great-grandson, Logan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 4-8PM Friday, October 9th at Roberts Family Funeral Home. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, October 10th at Messiah Lutheran Church, 807 MN-97, Forest Lake, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Minnetrista. Memorials preferred to Messiah Lutheran Church or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
I will always remember the time I spent with the Mansks when I was in high school and at the cabin near Marcell in the summer. Duane always made me feel like I was actually part of the family with his gentle teasing. It’s been many years since I saw him last, but the memories last and last.
I never met Duane, his son, Stu is my nieces husband.
