  1. Dear Doug, we know you were in church this morning in heaven with God. Your friends at First United Lutheran Church in Kennesaw, Georgia sincerely miss you and Evelyn in your special pew and helping with ushering. You have been a treasure to us this last ten years of our friendship. So glad you made it home before you were taken to your final home in heaven. Dave & Helen

  2. My Uncle Doug was the finest man I have ever known. When my Dad passed away I was 21 years old. Doug became the father figure in my life. He was always there to lend support to my mother, Marjory and to me. I would go to visit him whenever I had the chance and he always welcomed me with love and open arms. When I talked to him right before he moved to Minnesota he said ” they want me to sell my car but I still have all my marbles and I want to drive to the store or to church” Now he won’t need a car as he can fly on Angels Wings. I love you Uncle Doug! Rest in the arms of Jesus until I see you again, and greet the family for me.

  3. For ten plus years we were blessed to be close neighbors of Doug and Evelyn Tennis at English Oaks subdivision, in Kennesaw, GA. We enjoyed to go out and have dinner with them, Doug enjoyed good food and service. He will be missed. Great gentleman and friend. Gene and Leticia Pitts 7/9/2018

  4. I wish to express my sincere condolences to my Tennis cousins, Marie, Cheryl, Greig, Gordon and their families on the passing of their father Douglas Tennis. Many fond memories of holidays spent at Foest Lake, Rush City and Taylors Falls will always be with me. Rest in peace Uncle Doug, Bill Cedergren.

  5. I remember Doug, and his garage sales, and talking about all the different items he would come across. I donated to him several things left over from our English oaks neighborhood yard sale. One in particular a swan and he had it in his yard for a long time. He always had a smile on his face, and played Frank Sinatra On the radio outside as he worked. He was a wonderful neighbor and is truly missed. My thoughts, and prayers go out to Evelyn, and Doug’s family. Wendy Formby,

  6. Doug and Evelyn were great neighbors. Doug was always working on projects for his yard sales or working in the yard. He had many great stories and a joy to know them. Our sincere condolences go out to Evelyn and the Tennis family. Gail And Richard Taylor
