Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Wishing love and support to the Husnik family and friends of Don Husnik. His daughter, Debbie, is a dear friend of mine, and I met Don on a few occasions. He was a very special person and a great family man.

  2. Don and I were good friends from grade school through high school. Then, as so often happens, college sent us in very different directions and we never really had the opportunity to re-connect much after that point. At our last H.S.class reunion, Don had the whole group laughing in stitches with many hilarious stories he had remembered from our grade school days. His memory of the details and ability to communicate so effectively was amazing. His turn at the mic turned out to be the highlight of the evening for all of us. I was an only child so spending time at the Husnik farm with his welcoming family was a very big deal. Don was a very kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed by many. Unfortunately, my wife is in the hospital right now and I will not be able to attend the services for Don but he and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Jim Swenson.

  3. To Ronnie, Jimmie, Tommy and Kathy: I’m so sorry for your loss of Donnie. I will always remember my Mom, Aunt Irene, saying she was an Aunt before she was born because of Donnie and she was carrying him around as a little baby and she was a little girl and she was the Aunt. Just how life happens. Always look to the stars to remember him. Your Cousin Susie (Kaufhold) Kohrt

  4. Marilyn, you and family are in our thoughts and prayers. He will be greatly missed here, greatly welcomed in Heaven.

  5. Our memories of Don are of a kind, gentle spirit with a welcoming and warm smile on his face every time we saw him. Our sincere sympathies to you Marilyn and the rest of your family.

  6. Even though we are cousins, Donny and I really did not get to know each other well until I started working at the MN Dept of Agriculture. When I frequently traveled to DC for work and fun, I would stop to see him in the office. He was always in the midst of a grand project/program. We shared great strategies for life and career. Our family relationship grew into a kind and gentle one with mutual understanding and great respect. This is too sad and now Heaven has a good, good man.

  7. Don was and still is a wonderful person in all our hearts….we are missing him already…but we know he is with our Lord and his Mother, Father and many relatives,
Love, Jim, Jane, Jennifer, Jeremy, Ann Marie, Samantha and Bridget Husnik
