DeWayne Edwin "Dewey" Eberhardt

Age 86 of St. Francis. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle & Friend. DeWayne passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026.

Preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Sharon Eberhardt; parents, Gerald and Gladys Eberhardt; brother, Jerry Kowitz; sisters, Judy Vangueest and Sandra Malinowski. Survived by children; Donald (Danita) Eberhardt, Troy (Patti) Eberhardt, Diana (Jim) Saenger; grandchildren, Tasha (Ben) Boreen & their children, Roman, Cooper and Tucker; Bronson (Madisen) Lake & their children, Graysen and Reveille; Courtney (Josh) DeSmidt & their children, Kinley, Keegan and Carter; Alyssa Eberhardt, Cassidy Eberhardt, Kate (Bryan) Kell & their children, Adam and Alex;  Jessica (Chris) Hana and their children, Raeann and Jameson and Brooklynn Saenger.

DeWayne was born in Brainerd, MN. He attended Brainerd High School where he was raised on a farm. DeWayne married Sharon Stanley on May 21, 1960. They moved to St. Paul and started their family. They soon left the Big City and settled in a home on Coon Lake Beach in East Bethel Minnesota and raised their family. DeWayne took pride in being a business owner and worked hard to provide for his family.

DeWayne & Sharon retired and moved to Richmond, MN in 2006 where they quickly became friends with many and enjoyed senior dances and fish fries as often as possible. DeWayne and Sharon also enjoyed spending their winters in the warm state of Arizona during their retired time together. Married for 62 years is a testament to the unwavering love they had for each other. A journey together filled with love, challenges and a zest for life!

DeWayne was an avid golfer, card player and known a bit for playing poker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be remembered by many who knew him for his humor, leaving behind a legacy of groan-worthy puns and jokes.

He will be missed by many but remembered for generations.

DeWayne’s life will be celebrated with a gathering of family & friends from 1-4 PM Saturday, April 11th with a time of sharing at 3 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
