Darold "Mac" McMahan
November 25, 1941 ~ September 22, 2026
Age 82, formerly of White Bear Lake. Loving Husband, Dad & Grandpa, passed away surrounded by family on September 22, 2026.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert & Anne; sister, Twylla Sammons. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Chris; children, Lori, Patrick; grandchildren, McKenzie, Chase.
Mac was born & raised in Alexandria, working on the family farm instilled the importance of hard work. Upon graduating from the University of Minnesota, he served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam & Germany. Mac was a proud veteran. Mac worked for the City of St. Paul as a civil engineer for the entirety of his 44 year career. Above all he loved his family more than anything.
A celebration of Mac’s life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Susan G. Komen to support breast cancer research & awareness.
My condolences to Darold’s wife Chris and family. Some of my best childhood memories are of the times my family spent visiting Darold’s family in Alexandra. There were hours spent visiting, fishing, laughing, and listening to the Everly Brothers with Darold, Twylla and my brothers Steven and John.
