Dad,
thank you for being so many things to me.
Father, dad, mentor, confidant, comedian and mainly my friend.
You always brought an energy, direction and purpose to everything and I think I will miss that the most.
Its going to be awfully hard to take another shot out of our little plastic tequila jug ever again.
I miss you but understand and its ok.
My wish is for you to finally hear your father say to you all of the things you and I have talked about so many times.
I love you dad and will make sure to “hold down the fort” as you did.
– M.
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Dan’s military service to our nation.
Vel dat Ole vas von funny fella and a great friend. It was my privilege to walk part of the way with him. Integrity, quick wit, intelligence, loyalty, humor, insight and honor; are just a few of the fine qualities which made up the whole man. He will be missed every day for the rest of my days.

One of the best bullsh–ters on the planet. A true friend for
over 58 years. A fellow graduate of Hopkins High School
and veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Years later when I was a business owner he handled all my insurance needs and always gave me good advice. I will
miss all of the good times we shared. Semper Fi, Dan,
Semper Fi!
How do I sum up 9 years of knowing this wonderful man. I look at his son, a great man, the apple off the tree of his father. Dad, you Are one of the most intelligent men in my life. I am so very grateful for you. Your Sunday football calls about my Chiefs will be missed, your calls about my Nascar driver crashing and whatever else you deemed for me that day. You were my Dad, my friend and I looked up to you to make me a better me. You will be missed so dearly .. Love your #1 son.. Haha… Angie.
