Claudia Jean Tadevich (Martinson), age 81, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026 following complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Claudia was born on June 30, 1945 in Superior, Wisconsin to Hub and Helen Martinson. After graduating first in her class at Superior Central High School, she went on to Wisconsin State University Superior, where she accomplished the same feat. After graduating, she worked as a medical technician at St. Luke’s Hospital in Superior.
She married her college sweetheart, Steve Tadevich, on August 26, 1967. They met on a blind date, where Steve was surprised to discover she was the same young woman he had almost had the nerve to ask out months earlier. Soon after being married, they moved to Madison, where they raised their two daughters, Lori and Julie.
In addition to her role as stay-at-home mom, Claudia sang in the choir at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, volunteered for 28 years in the library at High Point Church (Middleton Baptist Church), enjoyed her bowling league and card club, and played an integral role in the success of Steve’s appraisal business. She attended every one of their daughters’ sporting and school events, and even made her own appearance as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune.
After becoming grandparents, they routinely drove to Minnesota to spend the weekends with their grandkids. Claudia became the coordinator for movie theater snacks, mini golf dates, waterpark adventures, and holiday traditions.
To the delight of their grandkids and daughters, they moved to Minnesota in 2015. Claudia remained an important part of each of their lives, providing her constant and unconditional support. She was always ready with advice, prayer, wisdom, and perspective. Even following her diagnosis with Parkinson’s, her faith never wavered.
Claudia will be remembered for her gentle patience and generosity, her dedication to her family, her impressive skills in card games and game shows, her delicious signature dishes, and her unparalleled positivity.
Claudia will be deeply missed by her husband of 59 years, Steve; daughters, Lori (Chris) Voxland and Julie (Rich) Lundeen; grandchildren, Haley, Anika, Grace, Erik, Lydia and Trygve; and brother, Herb.
She is now reunited with her parents and brother, Tom.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 10:00a-1:00p on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with a time of sharing at 12 noon at Roberts Family Funeral Home 555 SW Centennial Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025.

I got to be a first-hand witness to the deep love and devotion Claudia had to her daughters and grandchildren. The friends of her grandchildren (including my son!) were also beneficiaries of her love and affection. It was clear that Claudia’s family and faith meant everything to her.💖
