Date of Birth: November 6, 1920 Date of Death: February 7, 2011 Age 90, of Forest Lake passed away on February 7, 2011 surrounded by her family. Borghild is preceded in death by her husband, Gail Russell Umphrey, her grandson, Butch Wold; four brothers and four sisters. She will be deeply missed by her son, Gail Umphrey and wife, Elida; daughters, Marlene Wold and Diane Tyler; grandchildren, Ted (Shari) Tyler, Debra Wold, Carrie (Matt) Schroepfer, Denise Wold, Andy Umphrey, Anthony Tyler and Rick Wold; twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life A Celebration of Borghilds life will be held at 1 PM Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake, MN 55025 with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 12 Noon until the time of the service.
Dear Family,
I was very sad to hear of the passing of your mom. She was a very special lady that Ralph and I loved to visit on our way to and from Valley City. Ralph talked often of her. She will be deeply missed.
There is one little note that our daughter, Wendy, noticed after hearing of Borg’s death. Your mom died on the same day as Ralph’s dad, her brother Walter. He died November 7, 1994. What a coincidence.
