Beverly J. Irons

Age 89, formerly of St. Paul. Loving Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma, passed away on September 21, 2026.

Beverly Jean Irons was born on April 23, 1937 to parents Edward and Ruth Erickson and grew up on the east side of St. Paul with her older brother, Gordie. She attended Johnson High School where she met the love of her life and future husband, Arthur Irons, in typing class. Shortly after graduating from Johnson High in 1955, Bev and Art wed and raised their 4 children and dog Taffy on the east side of St. Paul. As the kids grew older, Bev enjoyed working at Dayton’s in downtown St. Paul. In the 70’s Art and Bev purchased a beautiful lake lot on Lower Turtle Lake in Almena Township, WI and built their family cabin. In the 90’s they built their new permanent residence within the Rotonda West development in Charlotte County, FL. 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren were added to the Irons family through the years, as well as Bev’s beloved toy poodle, Bear.

Bev will forever be remembered for her kind smile, gentle spirit and loving heart. She took great joy in watching her family grow and enjoyed many summers at the cabin and winters in Florida with her family over the years. Summers with family included pontoon rides, campfires, flea markets, card games, puzzles, and trips to Rice Lake. Bev loved gardening and kept a robust vegetable garden at the cabin and grew hearty grapefruit and orange trees in FL. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, particularly her grandchildren who loved and remember making homemade pizzas, watching the Price is Right and playing the Christmas Game with her as a few of their fondest memories.

Her legacy will live on through the memories we shared, the values she instilled in us, and the love and comfort she gave so selflessly and effortlessly. She modeled a life well lived and will forever remain in the hearts of the lives she touched.

Preceded in death by husband, Arthur Sr.; daughter-in-law, Cynthia; great-granddaughter, Vienna Vogel; brother, Gordie Erickson. Survived by children, Cindy (Jim Lenart), Art, Steve, Kathy (Tom) Running; grandchildren, Lauren (Dusabi), Michael, Jessica (Mark), Arthur III (Christie), Nick (Jessica), Ashley; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Bev’s life will be celebrated with a service at 5 PM Thursday, October 22^nd with visitation beginning at 4 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. A special thank you to the staff at Encore – Hugo for their compassionate care of Bev.
