Alice "Kathy" K. Thompson

August 17, 1949 ~ August 31, 2018

Kathy or as many people called her "Mom" passed away with her daughters and grandchildren by her side on August 31, 2018 at the age of 69. She made sure she lived to celebrate her favorite Bingo number...O69. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Eliza "Pearl" Bland; brothers, Alan "John" and David Bland; dear friend, Michelle. She survived by her daughters, Dawn (Mike), Dana (Larry), Monica, Leilani; grandchildren, Anthony, Zian, Alica, Joshua, Jacob, Ryan, Brenda, Natalie, Kelsie, Hailey, Raymond, Rosalie and Madison; sisters, Diane (Ted) Mcghee, and Edith Rae Bland; sister in law, Linda Bland; lifelong friend, Trish Brodie; Kathy Mom to Liza Schultz (Bland); numerous nieces and nephews and "adopted" kids, extended family & friends. Mom loved everyone and loved life. Her daughters and grandchildren were her life. She had a knack for embarrassing her kids with all her silliness such as food fights in restaurants, dancing with complete strangers and rapping with grandkids at Christmas, but she always made everyone laugh about it at the same time. That was the way she lived her life; to the absolute fullest and making the best memories for everyone along the way. A celebration of Kathy’s life 3 PM Saturday, September 22nd with visitation one hour prior at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Drive, Forest Lake. A one last motorcycle ride to follow along with a taco feed at the Forest Lake VFW. Memorial donations can be written to Dana Cooper.
