Mildred "Millie" Walsh

May 31, 1939 ~ May 1, 2026

Mildred “Millie” Walsh, age 86, passed away on May 1, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. Though she did not quite reach her 87th birthday, she made it to her birth month — something her family held close and celebrated with her.

Millie was the beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Walsh, and together they shared a lifelong love built on loyalty, laughter, and companionship. One of the sweetest memories her family carries is seeing Millie and Bob walking hand in hand when they could — a simple but beautiful reflection of the love they shared.

Preceded in death by son, Jeff Walsh; parents Ronald & Doris Tisdale; siblings, Ronald Tisdale, Bobby Tisdale, Ruth Tisdale. Survived by loving husband of 67 years, Robert Walsh; children, Denny (Deana) Walsh, Brenda (Guy) Parsons; grandchildren, Ryan Heinrich, Chris Walsh, Kayla Walsh, Dylan Walsh, Danielle Walsh, Delaney Walsh, Trevor Parsons, Jon Parsons; four great-grandchildren; sister, Joanie Coreson; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Millie was a fun-loving woman who deeply enjoyed her family and the little moments that made life special. She loved sitting down with a rum and Coke, playing games of Hearts, and spending time together around the kitchen table. She was well known for her baking — especially her chocolate cookies made “just like the recipe on the bag says.” Those cookies, along with the warmth of her kitchen, became a comfort and tradition for the people she loved.

Holiday gatherings at Millie’s home were unforgettable. She poured her heart into making big homemade meals for everyone, often turning the kitchen into what the family lovingly remembers as a complete disaster zone by the end of the day. But to her family, that mess was part of the magic — proof of how much love she put into caring for everyone around her.

Millie also loved gardening, and it felt especially fitting to those who loved her that she passed on May Day, during the Flower Full Moon — surrounded by a season of blooming flowers and new life that reflected so much of the beauty and care she brought into the world.

Millie will be remembered for her humor, her warmth, her stubborn little spark, and the love she gave so freely to her family. Her memory will live on in shared meals, card games, homemade cookies, flourishing gardens, and the countless small traditions she created over the years.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Millie’s life will be celebrated with a service at 6 PM Wednesday, May 13th with visitation beginning at 5 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
