Mom was the steady heartbeat of our family.  She was gentle, creative, faithful and endlessly devoted to those she loved.  She lived her life full of joy and selfless love.  She was a great cook whose many meals brought comfort to hundreds.  When not in the kitchen, she could be found reading a good book, sewing, gardening or hitting up thrift stores and garage sales with her grandkids. She loved playing games like Swoosh or Aggravation.   Mom also looked forward to camping trips with her family, as well as numerous home renovation projects.

True to her caretaking spirit, she enjoyed beekeeping and tending to their small flock of chickens.  She greeted each day with a peaceful cup of coffee.  Her patience and gentle spirit were evident in everything she nurtured.  Mom loved deeply and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will begin with a gathering at 12 noon, ceremony at 2 PM, and reception to follow on Sunday, December 14th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.

Guestbook

  1. Dear Kath,
I will miss your wonderful sense of humor. You always had a quick joke to tell us. Who will I consult with when it’s time to take the geraniums up from the basement in the spring? We always joked about how often you rearranged the furniture. I will miss having that cup of coffee with you. ❤️

  2. Kathy will always be remembered for her smiling faces and the pranks she liked to play. She taught me many parenting tips as we raised our kids together. Our prayers are with the family as they adjust to life with mom in heaven.
