Joseph Meath

November 18, 1960 ~ October 17, 2025

Age 64 of Ham Lake, a devoted husband, father, grandfather passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Preceded in death by father, James; brothers, John, Jimmy. Survived by loving wife of 43 years, Rhonda; children, Jami (Donnie) Shultz, Kelly, Jessica (Kevin) Mehlhaff, Cathie Sailors; grandchildren, Joshua, Levi, Blake, Leo, Cameron, Avery, Imogene, Mason, Taylor; mother, Sharon; sister, Sherry Baartman; brother, Mike & best friend, Sandra Jasinski along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Joe dedicated 31 years of his career to NSP/Xcel Energy, where he worked as a Chief Engineer. He was also a member of IBEW Local Union 160, where he built lifelong friendships and was respected for his strong work ethic and integrity.

Outside of work, Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman. A passionate Harley-Davidson rider and classic car collector.

Above all, Joe’s greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, an amazing grandfather and a loyal friend to many . He also enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii & Arizona. Joe loved all the many beautiful German Shepherd Dogs that we raised throughout the years.

Joe’s life will be celebrated with a gathering from 4-7 PM Saturday, November 8th at Roberts Family Funeral Home in  Forest Lake. The Meath family would like to extend their gratitude to St Croix Hospice & the wonderful caring staff of Amada Senior Care.   1. Rhonda and Joe were generous in many ways. When my furnace went out in a cold winter Rhonda reached out and Joe found the correct size furnace and Joe and his men came out and replaced my furnace. Thank you Joe. I was not with our heat very long. Joe was a very good man. Thank you. For ever grateful.
