Age 86 of Shafer, formerly of Markville. Beloved Dad, Grandpa, Brother, passed away on October 1, 2016. Preceded in death by wife, Violet; parents, Harold Dorothy; son-in-law, Gary Swanson, brothers, Raymond, Harry, Bob; 3 sisters; sister-in-law, Carol. Survived by children, Arlene (Tom) Geisthardt, Alberta Swanson, Julie (Doug) Johnson, and Darrell (Ashley) Erickson; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Peggy), Gary, Mark (Barb), Curt (Joyce); sister-in-laws, Virginia, Lois, Shirley, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 12 Noon, Saturday, October 8th at Wyoming United Methodist Church, 5459 E. Viking Blvd., Wyoming, MN with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment Oak Park Cemetery, Forest Lake, MN.
