John A. Vornbrock Jr.

Age 79 of North Branch, formerly of Maplewood. Passed away on June 23, 2023.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly, Marie, Joan; brother, Ted; niece, Gretchen. Survived by wife of 52 years, Sandra; daughters, Jenny (Mike) Sullivan, Kathleen (David) Potter; grandchildren, Lucia (Alex), Grayson, Molly, Kara; sisters, Chris (Tony) Wilfahrt; Terry (Tom) Wernet; many nieces, nephews and friends; sisters- in- law, Sr. Pat Zangs, OSF, Kathy (Jack) Kidd, Carole Zangs.
John was a 1961 graduate of Cretin High School and a volunteer firefighter in Maplewood at Gladstone Fire Station for 17 years. We would like to thank the staff of White Pine Assisted Living in Fridley and Olive Grove Hospice for their wonderful care of John.
A celebration of John's life 12 PM Friday, July 7th with visitation beginning at 11 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Private interment at Kahbakong Cemetery, Taylors Falls.
When I was a little girl I often stayed overnight at Auntie Sandy & Uncle John’s house. I remember one time in particular when Uncle John took me out on his bicycle built for two. It was both exciting & terrifying for me 😉 I always thought he was so adventurous & cool as he also had a blue stock car that he used to race. Uncle John was always so kind & gentle with me & I will never forget him! I’m so glad you are free from all your pain…RIP!
