  9. Ross(with Julie) was such a part of our life in Forest Lake. We have known each other for over 40 years. He was always such a positive influence to everyone around him. He was a role model husband, father and friend. We will miss him driving by our house and beeping his horn. He would also flash his flashlight in our window to see if we wanted to go on a night time walk. Our hearts go out to the “J’s”. We can’t imagine this world without Ross in it. Thank God he gets to now give smiles to all of the angels. MAX and Sharon DeRaad

  31. Oh Ross, How many people are lucky enough to have a life long friend? You loved to tell people our story-of how we played in a play pen together. I wish that when I saw you in August that I would have known it would be the last time I would see you. I would have hugged you harder. We were so hoping to see you at your wintertime Florida home. So, now you fly on Eagles Wings. Rest well my life long friend. I will miss seeing you and just knowing you and I had a special friendship. Julie, Jonathan, Joel, and Jackie- you know that Ross was a special guy. You got to see that everyday. You are so blessed to have a lifetime of special memories to fall back on for the rest of your lives. – A Butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam….and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world…but then it flies on again, and although we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful to have seen it at all. Ross’s time with us and especially you, was much too brief. Maybe his passing should teach us all how fragile our life, relationships, friendships, and special loves are. Please know that even though we can’t be at his celebration of life, you will be in our thoughts and prayers in these coming days. With special friendship and love, Mark and Sandy Spanier
