July 29, 1947 ~ March 19, 2021
Age 73 formerly of Stacy. Loving Mom & Grandma went to see the Lord on March 19, 2021.
Preceded in death by husband, Robert; son, Richard; parents, Vince & Edna Morten; siblings, Cheryl DeFlorin, Mark Morten. Survived by children, Kerri (Steven) Bavier, Amy (Steven) Segelstrom, and Sara (Jason) Locke; daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Dave Dynes) Doyle; grandchildren, Tyler (Miriam), Richie, Steven, Jordan, Cody, Sam, Evan, and Matthew.
Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Vernette’s life will be held at a later date. A private family memorial service for Vernette will be streamed live here: https://www.facebook.com/stjohnslutheranchurchstacy/ at 10 AM on Saturday, March 27th. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church, Stacy, MN.
Vernette had the best heart and I was so happy she was on duty when I’d take my Dad to the ER. She would speed up procedures and always with a smile. Her hardships in life will be rewarded in heaven. Prayers to her family as they celebrate her life! 💔😇🙏 Debbie Hoppe

Visiting with family at the farm became even more special when Vernette moved in! I truly loved our friendship,she was one of the kindest person I’ve ever known!She went through so much in life,she remained faithful through it all! Much love and sympathy to her family!
I was so sorry to hear of Vernette’s passing. Vernette and I worked at Lakes together. She was a wonderful co-worker and friend. She was such a hard-working person and had such a sweet and good-natured way with everyone around her. She used to bring an almond pastry, it was such a treat. I was lucky she gave me the recipe when she retired, it will always remind me of her. She was such a special person, thinking of her makes me smile. Prayers and sympathy to Vernette’s family!
