Valerie "Val" Manders

Age 92 of Forest Lake. Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025. Preceded in death by husband, David; siblings, John Smieja, Irene Brown, Bernard Smieja, Theodore Smieja. She is survived by children, Dave (Linda), Shelley Taylor (Dave Anderson), Mark (Laurie), Mike (Debbie), and Belinda; grandchildren, Wayne (Christine), Lisa (Jon), Michael, Leah (Andy), Margo (Jeremy), Kelsey, Kyle, Kerri, Tina (Bryan), Tony, Joe; great-grandchildren, Ari, AJ, Evelyn, Josephine, Lily, Ava, Max, Rylee, Brianna, Neva, Hudson, Isabelle; sister, Veronica Smieja; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Val was passionate about flowers & her garden. She also loved to go dancing. Above all, she loved her family. The memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Friday, April 4th with visitation beginning at 11 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
