Through the formative and very important years of high school and college, Tom was my best friend. He was an inspiration to me and an example for me, and I am a better person for knowing him. He was always calm and steady with a enjoyable dry sense of humor, and extremely intelligent, but humble. We were two Catholic farm boys who hit it off from the first days of high school at Chaska, and remained friends ever since. In fact we met our future wives on the very same night at a dance at the U of M. My sympathy to Phyllis and all of his family. I know that he was a good husband, father and grandfather. He certainly was a good friend. The world is richer because of his life. In my long life, I will always remember him as my best friend, and what that friendship meant to me. Tom, may God bless you and comfort your loved ones. Gary Williams
Tom and I met in fluid mechanics class at the University in 1970. We studied together and became friends playing softball on the intramural civil engineering team. Tom and I worked together at several engineering firms through our careers. Tom was among the best engineers that I was fortunate to work with. Tom was a loving husband to Phyllis and a caring and supportive father to his kids. I will greatly miss my times with Tom. May Tom’s family find comfort from their memories of Tom and the memories of Tom’s friends.
Good morning Phyllis, with a heavy heart, we are thinking of you and the family at such a very difficult time. We love you & pray for Peace, Faith & Strength. We will miss Tom’s stories of his early morning shopping before the crowds, his take on driving back and forth to MN/FL , his walks in the morning with the dog avoiding a certain person along the way, his favorite person at the gym and his guidance on “How to do it”. He was a gentle and caring person and loved his coleslaw👍 We will miss this wonderful man that did not deserve to leave this earth before his time. We will always be there for you… Love & Hugs Duke & Diane💞
I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. Tom was a great guy. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years at HNTB. Gob Bless Tom. My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Roushar family. Margaret Treanor
Tom was the Water/Wastewater group leader when I worked for Bonestroo around 2006. I had many conversations and lunches with him about faith, and he was always in search of the good in the world! I was very grateful that Tom looked out for me as a young engineer. He was a very selfless person and it was an honor to know him. It’s hard to believe he’s gone, but I believe he is still with us in spirit and has found the good he was looking for. God Bless you Tom!
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Tom’s military service to our country.
We love you and are here for you. There isn’t a day that’s gone by that I haven’t thought of him. He was an amazing man and it’s never going to be the same here again. I still look for the van to be in the yard, or for him to be walking Mav, or for him to fix something not the way it should be in my yard. He had such an impact on everyone. He was an awesome guy with a big heart. ❤️ Anna
Jenny may your memories help you get through this difficult time . Your in my thoughts & prayers.
