Loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin & Friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 30, 2021. Preceded in death by grandparents, Milton & Elvera McLean; Donald & Mary Bystrom; uncle, Jim McLean; aunts, Barb Fisher & Cheri LaBuda. Survived by parents, Ron sister, Jessie (Brandon) Rohrs; love of his life, Kelly Rosenberger; uncles & aunts, Gary & Margaret McLean, Bill & Michelle McLean, Midge McLean, Bruce & Lynn Bystrom, Don Fisher; numerous cousins and many cherished friends. Steve was a 1999 graduate of Forest Lake Area High School. He completed some college at Century and the U of M, but discovered a passion for sales before finishing his degree. He could sell anybody anything, and found successful careers at Whitaker Buick GMC and Hallberg Marine. Steve loved to golf and fish, and grew up participating many sports, including hockey and flat track motorcycle racing. Steve was known for his wonderful smile and caring heart. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Steve’s life will be 5 PM Thursday, January 13th with visitation beginning at 3 PM at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9300 Scandia Trail, Forest Lake. The service will be livestreamed here: https://www.hosannaforestlake.net/celebration-of-life. A celebration reception will immediately follow at Stella's, Forest Lake. To ensure the safety of others, Steve’s family strongly encourages masks. They would like to thank the staff at M Health Fairview Wyoming and U of M for their skilled and compassionate care. Memorials preferred.
