Shirley Ann Shaughnessy
May 25, 1946 ~ February 5, 2021
Age 74 of Bloomington. Passed away peacefully on February 5, 2021. Shirley was born in Grand Rapids, and grew up in Bloomington. She was a very giving person.
Preceded in death by son, Tim; parents, Harry & Ruth Simonson. Survived by grandson, Ryan; brother, Robert (Contstance) Simonson; nephews, Richard (Trina) Simonson, Thomas (Carolyn) Simonson.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will take place at a later date.
Sherlyn, it was a sad day when I learned of your passing. I was texting to see if my wife and I could get together with you and your husband. The texts did not go through. I thoroughly enjoyed our discussions while undergoing treatments. I wish I had met you much sooner. You were such a wonderful optimistic person. We’ll meet again some day and have lots of fun.
