Roger Charles Larson

October 2, 1941 ~ November 16, 2024
Age 83 of Scandia. Passed away peacefully & painlessly at home on November 16, 2024.
Preceded in death by parents, Oscar & Evelyn. Survived by the love of his life, Bev Jagiello; son, Jeff; sister, Janice “Cooki” Pedersen; niece, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Roger was a proud Marine Corps Veteran. He was a lifelong entrepreneur & inventor. The first company he founded was Minnesota Package Products. Roger then started building in ground swimming pools and founded Pacific Pool & Patio in Oakdale. In the late 70’s Roger bought a farm in Scandia and built the house himself. There he joyfully farmed and raised award winning cattle. The farm was hard work, but Roger enjoyed it. He also enjoyed the beauty of the land and the peace that it brought him. His Bunn coffee pot was always on at the farm inviting neighbors and friends to swing by for a cup of coffee and to shoot the breeze. In the late 90’s Roger opened Lift&Store company, which was once again birthed from his inventive spirit. Roger’s wealth of knowledge also led him to author a reference book on the M1 Carbine.
Roger’s life will be celebrated with a gathering from 2-4 PM Sunday, December 15th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake with military honors at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Smile Train.
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Roger’s military service to our country in the Marine Corps.
Roger you will be missed!
You always reminded me of my father when I would come to see you. Half of the time I was excited, the other half I was nervous.
I will always be thankful for the opportunity of doing business with Lift & Store. You always had so many ideas going on, I had to remember to show up smart when I came to see you.
I will always remember you for what you have given me in this life.

What can I say about my friend, mentor, leader, and father figure. Roger and I spent 16 in half years working daily and Lift & Storage Systems, Inc. We building an a fabulous company together and changed my life with his love business and people. There were many trips that Roger and I took to various retailers around North American especially trips in Roger’s white van to Walmart layout center with new and exciting inventions that Roger and I colaborated on. Those roads trips of 10 hours one way gave me an insight into his brilliance as person and a man. Roger was a faithful Marine and proud of that and I was proud of that as well. You always knew where you stood with Roger. Every morning he would come into Lift & Store and ask me if I had sold anything. If was kind of our thing but fun and we laughed about it. I saw Roger battle cancer which he won years ago and realize this tough old marine was just that. Trips to Roger’s farm was always an experience whether firing a M1 Carbine or throwing bales of hay. He loved his guns, cows and especially Bev his rue love. After Lift & Store was sold in 2016 Roger would connect by phone or I would stop by the farm to say but the everyday was missed and would never be the same. I missed those days at Lift & Store because I missed being around one of my dearest friends in life. The last time I saw Roger he had just went through a surgery and he made a comment to me that he was slowing down but I knew that was not true as this old marine would never skow down. I ask Roger if he believed in God one time which replied yes so I know that I will reunite with my dear friend one day.
Love you Roger,
Shawn Jones
Roger, You simply left us all too soon. I was one of your many friends who enjoyed being able to “stop in” to visit, and then share many stories of our pasts and our present. I’ll be honest, I enjoyed listening to your stories more than mine, and I think we laughed much harder at yours as well! I was looking forward to many more of these visits with you. We appreciated your honesty and your ability to always “tell it like it is”. It has been an honor to know you and I hope we can one day talk again. You will be missed by many.
Always enjoyed Bev and Rogers visits..

We are sorry that we just learned of Roger’s death. My husband Jim spent many years mowing lawn for Roger and helping him out with lawn care. We enjoyed visiting with Roger and we enjoyed those Shelties on the farm. He will be missed.

I would like to offer condolences to Roger’s son Jeff. I am Jeff’s cousin and have lost track of him. I know that family was always important to Jeff. I would like to ask him to get in touch with me.
